I find it strange that the artists listed in the article by Rojas would not allow their work to be sampled. It is obviously ironic and somewhat hypocritical but I think that it speaks to the truth of human nature. These artists obviously made their careers through sampling but now they are unwilling to allow someone else the same luxury. They licked someone else's plate clean while saving their own for themselves. Thats how money is made I guess. What a shame. Here is another example of a mashup.

I gotta say this is done really really well. The two songs are blended seamlessly into one. Thats why I like it. Compared to the Dangermouse Grey album I feel these two songs mix together in a much better way. With the Grey Album the tracks seem hit or miss and the juxtaposition is obvious. With no prior knowledge one might not recognize this track as a mashup at all.
